We're going to TASMANIA!

Join us for the first week of Summer in the breathtaking landscapes of Tasmania. In a small, like-minded group, you’ll have the chance to dive with playful fur seals, glide through kelp forests, and possibly spot a Sea Dragon!

This trip has been planned so that we can spend our days filled with ocean adventures on rugged and beautiful coastlines, and spend the evenings enjoying a delicious meal and glass or two of wine.

Picture yourself kayaking along dramatic sea cliffs, hiking to catch the sunrise over Wineglass Bay, and heading out as a group to catch our own crayfish in the abundant Tasmanian waters.

Experienced crayfish divers and instructors will help you catch your own, with a hands-on workshop included.

Breathwork and relaxation sessions are also part of the trip to help you unwind and connect with the day, and we’ll finish with a full-day winery tour, visiting some of Tasmania’s most iconic wineries to celebrate a salty week together.

We're so excited for this trip, and can't wait to immerse ourselves in this beautiful part of Australia.

Why Tasmania?

Tasmania is the perfect backdrop for adventure, think wild and untouched beauty with long sunny days for activities and brisk evenings for campfires.

We wanted to go to a place where we can do it all, we’ll paddle sea kayaks beneath towering cliffs, hike up to Wineglass Bay for sunrise, dive together for crayfish, and celebrate it all with a visit to some of Australia’s best wineries. It’s the ultimate mix of ocean, wilderness, and connection.

Accommodation

The first 2 nights we will be staying in Eaglehawk Neck - the accomodation is dormitory style.

The last 3 nights, we will travel up the coast a couple of hours and we will all be staying in an Airnb in Bicheno. Here, we will dive for our own crayfish and enjoy catch and cooks with our fresh seafood.

The room configurations are as follows:
Bedroom 1: 1 extra-large double bed
Bedroom 2: 1 large double bed
Bedroom 3: 4 single beds
Bedroom 4: 2 single beds

Freediving

Every level of freediver is welcome on this trip! If you have no experience, we’ll spend the first night introducing you to freediving in a supportive and fun way.

On the water, we’ll be playing with the local friendly fur seal colony, diving through kelp forests, and keeping an eye out for the elusive weedy sea dragon. Visibility this time of year is generally around 15 m, making for really enjoyable and memorable dive sessions!

Our instructors will be there the whole time capturing you underwater as you twist and turn with the fur seals!

Learn how to grab your own Crayfish

As part of this trip, we’ll be teaching you how to catch your very own crayfish! One evening, we’ll run a hands-on workshop covering what to look for, how to spot a crayfish, and the techniques for grabbing one successfully. Over the course of the trip, we’ll dive from several shore locations, hunting for our dinner together as a group, never taking more than what we need to feed us.

Crayfish usually hang out in 10 m of water or less, making them fun, accessible, and incredibly rewarding to catch. We’ll also teach you how to measure and legally select your crayfish, guiding you through the entire process from dive to dinner.

We’ll host a catch-and-cook session one evening, so you can savour the fruits of your own efforts, an experience and skill you’ll carry with you for life!
