Have you always wanted to give freediving a go but have hesitations, are nervous to commit to a full course, or unsure if it's for you?  Our 1 Day Freedive Taster Course is the designed for you! This course is completely beginner-friendly, and you do not need any experience whatsoever to join us!

With the guidance of one of our experienced instructors, you will be taught everything you need to give you confidence in the water like never before! Our courses are fun, safe and there is no pressure (pun intended) for you to dive to a certain depth! 

You will learn:

  • Learn about freediving gear
  • Learn about what happens during a breath hold, and how you can comfortably increase yours 
  • Learn the basics of how to equalise your ears for easy & painless dives
  • Learn all about how to stay safe while freediving 
  • Learn how to duck-dive and test out your new skills on the freediving line! 
  • Learn how to pick the best dive spots for different weather conditions

Course Details:

  • Location: The course will begin in a beautiful classroom space at Laze Infrared Saunas while we go through some theory, breath work and relaxation before heading to the dive site to test out your new skills!
  • Start Time: 8am
  • Finish Time: 2pm
  • Maximum Group Size: 6

Dive Site: Our course takes place in a serene, sheltered cove within a protected marine reserve. Enjoy the beauty of abundant fish, and with a bit of luck, you might even spot a turtle or a wobbegong!

Depth: The maximum depth for this course is 9 metres, but your comfort and safety are our top priorities. You can dive to a depth you’re comfortable with.

Special Offer: If you enjoy your freediving experience and decide to continue with one of our certified courses or trips, you’ll receive a $100 discount on any future courses or trips.

What to Bring (ALL gear hire except wetsuits is included in the cost)
or if you have your own gear, feel free to bring it 

  • Warm wetsuit (3mm long-arm, long-leg steamer recommended)
  • Mask & snorkel
  • Weight belt and weights
  • Fins

Freediving Course FAQ's

What experience do I need?

As long as you can comfortably swim, you have everything you need to join this course!

Relax while our experienced instructor guides you through everything you need to know to begin your freediving journey.

What happens if the weather is poor?

If we deem the weather conditions (swell and wind) to be unsafe or unsuitable for freediving, we will either change the location or reschedule.

If we have to reschedule the course, you will be given an alternative date to choose from.

Our top priority is safety, followed by ensuring you have the best possible experience.

What happens if you need to cancel your spot?

$50 of the booking is non-refundable.

If you cancel at least 5 days out from the event, you will receive a $100 refund.

If you cancel within 5 days from the event, you will not be refunded.
