Location: Nelson Bay, NSW & Port Stephens Outer Islands
Ages: 16+
Prerequisites: Be able to swim 200m unaided

No freediving experience needed! Whether you have experience freediving or not, we tailor the course content and dives to suit your individual skill level.

Join our Molchanovs Wave 1 course and you'll discover how comfortable you can become underwater. You will learn the basics of freediving, how to better access your body's breath holding capabilities, and how to safely and comfortably dive to depths of up to 20 metres on one breath! At the end of the weekend, you may become a certified Molchanovs Freediver.

Whether you are a seasoned waterperson wanting to increase your breath hold, a keen spearfisher looking to improve your skills, an ocean lover wanting to unlock greater depths of ocean exploration, or you are wanting to begin your freediving journey- this course offers so much. We don’t approach Freediving with any goals placed on numbers or times- and we will never put pressure on you. We pride ourselves on our welcoming,  fun and safe learning environments.

This course includes a full day boat trip to a nearby island where the conditions are the best for the weather on the day! This full day will involve the 2 open water dive sessions, with the chance to explore after the sessions! If boats aren't for you, or you want to see more available dates, go check out our Wave 1 Shore Dive Courses
